Distinguished Young Graduate Award
Established in 2027, this is a joint award presented by the Saskatchewan Agricultural Graduates Association and the University of Saskatchewan College of Agriculture and Bioresources. This award celebrates early-career graduates whose accomplishments demonstrate notable promise to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to society.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Distinguished Achievement and Societal Impact: This award recognizes early-career graduates who have attained notable promise or distinction in their professional or personal pursuits, with particular emphasis on accomplishments that have the potential to positively impact society.
Integrity and Leadership: Nominees should exemplify the values of the College and the broader agricultural community through their character, professionalism, and commitment.
Nominations and Selection Process
Nominations: Nomination forms are available on the SAGA website (see below). Nominations accepted any time but must be received by September 1 to be considered for January banquet.
Retention of Nominations: Unsuccessful nominations will be retained for three years and may be reconsidered during that period.
Selection Committee: The committee will consist of two SAGA-appointed members and two appointees from the College of Agriculture and Bioresources. The SAGA appointed members will be two of the following three: Honorary President, Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame representative, or Past President.
